“It takes intelligence, even brilliance, to condense and focus information into a clear, simple presentation that will be read and remembered.”
-- Mary Helen Briscoe
A student came into the office this morning with a book on science writing. I glanced at it briefly, opened it, and randomly discovered this quote from Briscoe. The author's words make sense to me not only for writers, but for photojournalists as well.
Pictures with impact, have the capacity to condense and focus information in a clear way in order to visually direct a viewer's experience and encounter with the frame.
