Martin Fuchs, blogger extraordinaire and former Magnum intern, is back in New York. Fuchs, a native of Vienna, shared a wonderful behind-the-scenes look at Magnum last year on his old blog. Now he is at it again. Fuch's is working as a freelance editor in Magnum's multimedia department "Magnum In Motion" until the beginning of June.
This time around, Fuch's has an even more ambitious blogging project in mind that is particularly focused on students of photojournalism. The new blog is called "Journal of A Photographer" -- something he sees as "a continuation of his New York Photoblog."
In a recent e-mail, Fuchs explains that his goal is to write about his experiences in the world of photojournalism, post photographs from projects, and try provide a "resource for young photographers through a series of audio interviews with photographers, book reviews and a calendar with deadlines for photography grants and competitions."
Fuchs' journal is a terrific resource indeed. The site is extremely well organized and the interface is excellent. I especially enjoyed looking through the calendar of events and listening to his interview with Simon Wheatley.
Bravo Martin!
